Unless unleashed, Draekyn wears his stillness like a shroud, his movements carefully controlled in the same manner as his words and tone. His illusion is broken by hair and eyes, both seemingly unwilling to be tamed. Strands of mahogany escape all attempts at styling, a living entity that swirls around him - dancing to whatever breeze might blow. It is long enough to brush his shoulders, yet too short to effectively tie back. A shadow shades his jaw when allowed to grow, more often than not it is kept shaved clean and smooth. Whatever reactions he attempts to contain are betrayed by his eyes. Normally a rich golden hue they brown to aged whiskey with amusement, or darken further to a churning rolling black should deeper emotions well up. He shutters them behind dark lashes, yet they defy him in this, as well, piercing through his attempt. He wears little in the way of decoration or possessions save for his staff - which is never far from his reach - and the trappings of his profession. Deep red robes are well worn, but clean and often mended. The fabric encases broad shoulders and muscles forged from work. His is not the sleek physique of a noble, or the bulky frame of a brawler, but a chiseled body of one who has known a lifetime of labor both with tools and blade. His hands are strong, sculpted, with a wide grip. Ink marrs them, although apart from that they are kept clean. He is no fresh faced youth, iron strands already shading in at his temples. Faint lines cross his brow and hug the corners of his eyes. His is also not the face of a sheltered life, the crook to his nose indicating past breaks along with a time-faded scar that divots in his left cheek. |
