Kratos is a member of the Royal Ethucan Guard, and is the only reason Arelia Muriel survived the attack that killed her mother and her father, the Emperor. Arelia named Kratos her Regent, and for many years he ruled over Ethucan.
Now that Arelia is coming into her own as Empress, Kratos has become more of a trusted advisor than a co-ruler. He spends a great deal of his time leading the new Royal Guard to ensure a tragedy such as the one that took Arelia's parents never happens again.
The Regent stands at six and a half feet tall and is definately an imposing figure. He has a full beard, carries a large axe, and is rarely seen outside the palace without armor. He is leery of the Empress' desires to re-open communication and trade with Valorn, due to the high number of enchanters on that continent.
